Through this hybrid program attendees will have access to the best in cancer immunotherapy education taught by leading experts in the field. This program will provide a deep understanding of the core principles of tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy as well as develop areas in the field including biomarker technology, validation and clinical integration; clinical trial design, data analysis and considerations for combination therapies. View the full program schedule here.The program is tailored to early-to-mid career scientists and clinicians in the field of cancer immunotherapy working in academic, clinical, industry and government settings as well as those new to the field. The curriculum will cover the fundamentals of cancer immunotherapy and features separate tracks, including clinical and research, allowing participants to tailor their experience by selecting the educational path most relevant to their learning goals.
In addition to deepening their understanding of integral facets of the field of cancer immunotherapy, attendees will have opportunities to expand their professional network, developing new relationships with faculty and other thought leaders through small group breakout sessions and virtual networking features.

To support young investigators and clinicians interested in attending the Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School, SITC is pleased to offer applications for travel awards.The Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School Travel Awards are intended for individuals who will attend the program in person. The award amount, up to $1,000, will be reimbursed for eligible expenses associated with travel to attend the 2023 Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School program in person and/or registration for the Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School program.
Two of the five travel awards will be reserved for those who self-identify as individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups in the Biomedical Sciences according to the NIH definition (opens new window).The information collected in response to the self-identifying process will only be viewed by SITC staff and Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School program organizers.Click here for more information regarding the eligibility and criteria. Travel Award Applications have now closed and were due September 12th by 5 p.m. PDT. Applicants will be notified of the Review Committee's decision in late October. At SITC’s Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School, our goal is to have a safe and meaningful in-person experience. We will be adhering to the local safety guidelines and regulations. In addition, SITC in-person meetings will have the following safety measures in place.
Proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 will be required for program attendees. SITC is currently exploring options for validating this information and will communicate that process when it is available.
SITC strongly recommends masks to be worn indoors for attendees.
